I was lucky enough to grow up on a livestock farm in Derbyshire surrounded by all my family. When I got married I moved down to Suffolk where I live now with my husband and two children (although I still go back to the farm as often as I can). When my children were young I wrote a few poems about my sister's two naughty sheep, Florence & Emily, which then led to writing Farmer Clarty combining two of my favourite things farming and Christmas.
Having always admired and been amused by the work of Jake Tebbit, I approached him with a view to illustrating Farmer Clarty and the rest as they say is history.
